Episode Guide

NOTE: The episode numbers on some of the early shows are off by one — the numbering here is correct

Episode 0: Cowardice is Such an Awfully Strong Word

The characters get their first mission and spend an enormous amount of time hilariously negotiating over the marching order. The episode ends at the gates of the dungeon, so all the actual adventuring starts with Episode 1: Myriel, you had one job…

Episode 1: Myriel, you had one job…

Our adventurers enter the dungeon below the old city of Jordoba and begin their search for the missing Sister Frachesca. As will become usual, things don’t go exactly as planned.

Episode 2: The Lion, the Crow, and the Priestess

Our adventurers continue in their (early) dungeoneering careers, delving into the megadungeon of the Old City of Jordoba. THeir task? To find and rescue the missing priestess of the Dawn Goddess, Sister Frachesca.

Episode 3: Living the Life

Our adventurers make another brave expedition into the dungeons below the Old City of Jordoba, now looking for the miscreants responsible for imprisoning Sister Frachesca.

Episode 4: How to Die During Character Generation in D&D

Our adventurers return to the catacombs under the Old City of Jordoba, and an event takes place that becomes very significant in the future of the World of Jordoba.

Episode 5: Beyond the Scary Door

Our adventurers begin to explore the second level of the dungeons beneath the Old City of Jordoba. Skeeter announces that the heroism of the party will be dialed up to 12, but not everything goes as planned.

Episode 6: Ascension

The characters continue onward in their exploration of the Tombs on level 2 of the Catacombs beneath the Old City of Jordoba.

Episode 7: Strange Tastes Indeed

We learn what it looks like when the adventurers have no morally-constraining supervision by a cleric. The audio echo at the beginning doesn’t last very long.

Episode 8: Dark

Our adventurers have barely started another expedition into the Tombs on Level 2 when something happens. Or rather, Skeeter does something. After that, it’s complete and utter chaos. Let’s put it this way: I had to change the dungeon map as a result.

Episode 9: The Bugbear

With the assistance of Soolmaj the telepathic slug, the Swords of Jordoba decide to expand their map of the first level, looking for the bugbear who had captured Lethe. I can’t even explain what happens next, but they end up in the larder of an ogre bar called the Happy Ending (yes, this is the same place the 5th edition Heroes of Jordoba characters started their adventuring careers).

Episode 10: Return of the Bugbear

The characters return to the dungeon, armed for vengeance against the sneaky bugbear who outwitted them and then sold them as food in the last episode. Will they succeed, or will they once again be out-thought by this furry criminal mastermind?

Episode 11: Wrath of Skeeter

Skeeter is seriously finished with this damn bugbear, and ready to rock. The adventurers storm into the dungeon and begin to learn some disquieting secrets about the bugbear and his nefarious activity. We also meet Doctor Omnibus for the first time in the Original D&D game, and this is the first session where Jim Wampler and his magic-user Eliga Tibbar join the Swords.

Episode 12: Spiders

The adventurers make their way back to the area in the first level of the catacombs where they know that a cult of the Spider God is located — somewhere. Skeeter also does some questionable shopping in the Grim Quarter of the City of Jordoba, and Jim’s cleric begins to make noises about the party’s baseline morality.

Episode 13: Into the Lair of the Spider God

Savage battle ensues as the Swords fight their way into the Lair of the Spider God. Jim Wampler’s character, Eliga Tibbar the magic-user, finally proves his worth in spectacular fashion.
